G-Dragon's solo world tour started off in Seoul.
On March 30th and 31st, the first two shows of G-Dragon's '2013 G-DRAGON WORLD TOUR ONE OF A KIND' were held in Seoul.
Each show accommodated about 13,000 people at once, and Seoul Olympics Gymnastic Stadium was filled up during both shows. Through his show, G-Dragon succeeded in proving himself as one of the most unique and artistic soloists of Korea.
Indeed, many people were very worried about G-Dragon's new world tour, because it has only been 2 months after he finished BigBang world tour, and many people were thought that it will be a bit hard for G-Dragon to bring out something much new in such a short time.
However, such worries were of no use. Once again, G-Dragon impressed the audience with his unique musical color. By presenting a great number of amazing tracks with variety of styles, he succeeded in appealing himself as 'G-Dragon, a soloist', instead of 'G-Dragon, a BigBang member'.
The concerts featured four concepts, red, black metallic, and colorful, and G-Dragon's repertoire included 16 songs: 'Michi GO', 'Heartbreaker', 'One Of A Kind', 'Missing You', 'My Boy', 'She's Gone', and a few others.
Furthermore, stages, choreography, and special effects that were planned and designed by Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, who both participated in Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' tour, made G-Dragon's music and performance even more entertaining.
In addition, Epik High's TABLO, 2NE1's CL, and Lee Hi also appeared as special guests, and showed phenomenal collaborations with G-Dragon.
During the press conference that was held on March 21st, G-Dragon said, "While I looked more like a boyish idol star in the past, I want to look more mature and artistic this time."
As he said, G-Dragon proved himself as one of the most unique and fantastic soloists of Korea through his new shows.
G-Dragon knew how to control the audience, and he showed an amazing showmanship during the entire show, leading the atmosphere up and down at his own will. The amazing performance that he showed on the stage clearly proved him as a god-given performer once again.
Just like the title of the tour, G-Dragon's show surely one of a kind, and many fans are now looking forward to see achievements that G-Dragon will make at overseas.
On the other hand, G-Dragon's world tour will be continued in 13 cities of 8 different countries, and he will be meeting up with approximately 550,000 fans in total during the tour.
