On 29th, the production agency of 'Korea' commenced official promotions of the movie by unveiling the character profiles.
'Korea' is a movie about North and South Korea's united team competing in the 1991 Chiba World Table Tennis Championship. Ha Jiwon and Bae Doona were each casted as the two female heroins, Hyun Junghwa of South Korea, and Lee Boonhee of North Korea.
Furthermore, Choi Yoonyoung was casted as Yeon-jung, who is Hyun Junghwa's double partner.
Park Cheol-min was casted as 'Coach Lee', and Oh Jung-se as 'Doo-man', who is a humorous member of the united team.
Additionally, Han Yeri starred as Soon-bok, a young North Korean player who participated in the international match for the first time. Han Yeri will be impressing the public with her table tennis playing and North Korean dialect.
Kim Eung-soo starred as Cho Nam-poong, the captain of the united team. He successfully acted the character, adding depth to the movie, and Lee Jong-seok starred North Korean player Kyung-sup.
Each players of the united team will show different characteristics, making the movie even more interesting and funny.
In addition, 'Korea' is going through final edits, and it will be released in May.
